About encryption of USB Flash Security
|
Does [USB Flash Security] really encrypt data?
There are some inquiries about this, and we answer it here.
(Encryption explained in this page is for Ver.3 or later.
[USB Flash Security] Ver.2 or before Ver.2 doesn't have
encryption function)
[USB Flash Security] encrypt the whole Protected Area.
[USB Flash Security] is not software that to select the file and encryot it.
Encryption will be done automatically when data is writed to USB Flash Drive, and decrypt will be done automatically when data is read from USB Flash Drive.
For example

Save the file above file to USB Flash Drive, and it will be encrypted automatically.
The following file is the encrypted file in USB Flash Drive.

*The result of encryption will be changed by the key of encryption.
All of the information(file name, folder name, data file ect.) in Protected Area is encrypted. So it can not be conjectured even where the file is.
Protected Area is encrypted by key which is the passward set by installing [USB Flash Security] to USB Flash Drive. So the result of encryption will be changed by password. The other one who do not know the password can not analyze the data.
We recommend that to set password long and complex when you install it to your USB Flash Drive to increase more security.
The password to release security can be changed after install it to USB Flash Drive. But the key of encryption will not be changed.
Encryption AES256bit need a key of 32 words, if the password set less the 32 words, it will be added to be 32 words key and do encryption.
