- Why the security can not be unlocked on Win Vista?
There are many inquiries that security can not be unlocked by running the file (UsbEnter.exe), when file in the USB flash memory displayed by explorer.
Error may occur by unlocking security, because the file in the USB flash memory display by explorer
When the window of [Password Input] displayed, please close explorer, then unlock security.
Security can not be unlocked in Vista about 100%, if explorer displayed.
Security can be unlocked without closing explorer which display the file in USB flash memory from Ver.2.0.0
- Can data in USB flash memory be taken out without purchasing license, when trial period is over?
Yes, of course. Data can be taken out, when trial period is over.
Product edition [Ver.+][Ver.++][Ver.#][Ver.##] has 15 day trial period. You can disable security by [Disabled] in operation menu of the software installed on PC, then take out the data, and uninstall USB Flash Security from USB flash memory when time limit of trial is over.
After trial period, security can be unlocked without password, it means USB flash memory will not be protected by USB Flash Security, but data in USB flash memory can be access as normal. So, data in USB flash memory can be taken out after trial period.

- Can USB Flash Security be used on the other device except USB flash memory?
Some users contact us that USB Flash Security can be used normally on SDHC card, so it may be used on other USB device except USB flash memory.
We have not confirmed that USB Flash Security works normally on SDHC card, so we can not answer any question about this. Please test it by yourself.

- How can I return the state of USB flash memory to that when I bought it?
You can uninstall USB Flash Security from USB flash memory by [Uninstall] function in the operation menu. Please use PC which you have installed security to the USB flash memory to uninstall security.
Please be careful that data in USB flash memory will be deleted by uninstalling security.
However if you want to use the memory as usual without deleting data in USB flash memory, please don't uninstall security.
Please disable security by [Disabled] in the operation menu of [USB Flash Security] installed on PC.
[Enable] function in operation can make Disabled USB flash memory enable, it means password is necessary to access data in USB flash memory when enabled security.
- Can security be unlocked on Windows 2000?
We can not guarantee that we will make security can be unlocked on Windows2000, but we will fix it in the future.
If you want to use USB flash memory installed USB Flash Security on Windows2000, you can disable security.
Security can be unlocked on Windows 2000 from Ver.2.0.0.
- Why the security can not be unlocked when input correct password?
By the state of Windows, inputted password may be in half size or in full size.
Please use the version later than Ver.1.2.0. It these versions, inputted can be confirmed in password input window.
- Can security be unlocked by a limited (user, guest) account?
Administrator account is necessary.
Please run installation or the other function by a Administrator account.
If unlock security by a limited (user, guest) account, please run it as follow:
On XP
Display the file in the USB flash memory by explorer. Right-click the release tool (UsbEnter.exe), and select [Run as...] as administrator account .
On Vista
Please input the password of administrator account to the window of user account control and run release tool.
- Why does error [It failed to update the device.] display?
Maybe there is any monitoring software or the other security software accessing USB flash memory.
When install security on USB flash memory, the same error may display. So when install security, if possible please close monitoring software or the other security software.
We have confirmed when the following software is running, this error will occur.
- Photo Downloader(Photoshop Album Mini)
- ENCRDLG.EXE(SecureLockWare)

- Why security can not be unlocked on my customer's PC?
Security may not be unlocked, when there is any limit (no [Administrator] authority) of policy setting and so on, even if you try to unlock security by administrator account.
- What is [Disabled] in Operation menu for?
[Disabled] is to make "Protected area" to be accessed without inputting password.
For example, if you want to use the USB flash memory install USB Flash Security in Windows2000 or by guest account, you can disable security by Windows XP PC with administrator account.
- What is [Enabled] in Operation menu for?
[Enabled] is to enable security which disabled by [Disabled].
- What is [Copy of release tool] in Operation menu for?
[Copy of release tool] is to copy release tool (UsbEnter.exe and autorun.inf) to USB flash memory, when delete release tool by careless or update release tool.
- After unlocked security, why is USB flash memory locked automatically for a few minutes?
About this phenomenon, we can not give a clear answer, because our PC can not revival the phenomenon.
The following advice is from user, please confirm it for reference.

The PC which has this phenomenon has setting of USB device in PC bios. The setting of USB device is [Auto]/[Enabled]/[Disabled] and default is [Auto]. When change setting to [Enabled] the phenomenon disappeared.
However, strangely, when returned setting to [Auto], phenomenon does not occur.
So, we can't explain this phenomenon.

- Why may "Protected area" always be accessed?
If there any error occurred during unlocking security, and click [Cancel] button to quit release tool, then "Protected area" can always be accessed.
If there any error occurred during unlocking security, please input password and try to unlock security again when password input window displayed.
The reason why error occurred during unlocking security is almost the same as No.8 of Q&A.
That "Protected area" can always be accessed is same as Disabled Security. So you can try to enable security by [Enabled] in operation menu.
- Why can I fail to install USB Flash Security on Vista?
If the setting [Only elevate executables that are signed and validated] of User Account Control (UAC) is effective, the error will occur by installing security.

- Why does warning of virus security display by running release tool?
The reason may be that vbs file is used when run release tool.

We have fixed it, and warning won't display anymore later than Ver.2.0.1.
- After unlock security, when click the drive to open it, safely remove tool run and safely remove the drive. How to stop the safely remove tool?
Please delete the autoren.inf file in "Protected area" and run the UsbExit.exe to safely remove drive.
The autorun.inf file in "Protected area" is to add USB Flash Security to the menu which display by right-click drive. After release security, safely remove tool becomes top in the menu, so when click to open the drive, safely remove tool will start.
We will delete autorun.inf file in next version update.
autorun.inf file won't be created in "Protected area" from Ver.2.0.1.
- Why folder can not open automatically after unlocking security in Ver.2.0.0?
After unlock security without high-speed, the folder will open as plug USB flash memory into PC.([Open with...]). But it will not open by unlocking security in high-speed.
We will change the specifications of unlocking security in high-speed (folder will open automatically).

- Why error message [The capacity is too large] display when install USB Flash Security ## on 500GB hard disk?
500GB USB hard disk can be used in Ver.2.0.0, but the error message displays when the hard disk over than 250GB in Ver.2.0.1. We will fix it in the next version. We have fixed it in Ver.2.0.2.
- Why the checkbox of "High speed release" is gray and can not be changed when use hard disk by Ver.##?
We named this function as "high speed", because this way to unlock security is faster than the old one. The checkbox is to select the old way or the new way to unlock security.
Error will be occurred when unlock security of hard disk by the old way. So we fix the checkbox.
- Is it necessary to input safely remove tool to protect area?
We recommend using UsbExit.exe in order to enabling function certainly in Ver.2.
The function "Hide the protected area" and "check the application which is accessing the data in USB memory" has been added. There is not any case that function has not been enabled without using UsbExit.exe. So you can use it by your liking in Ver.3.
The file autorun.inf will be copied to protected area when copy UsbExit.exe. If you do not use menu soft, you can delete autorun.inf. There is not any problem by deleting it.
- Sometimes USB Flash Security service does not work normally. Why?

- When install Ver.3 to USB memory, error message (816) disappear and install stopped. Why?
The error (816) is displayed when the serial number of USB memory can not be gotten by USB Flash Security.
Usually serial number is set to USB memory, but there are some USB memories without serial number.
We will improve this error in next update (Ver.3.0.2).

- Some virus is found by McAfee, why?
We have confirm that install file and uninstall file contain (Generic dropper.uv) file.
(Generic dropper.uv) file is not detected as virus in the other anti-virus software, so it is obvious false detection. This file is detected as virus from Augest,2010.
Now we have reported false detection to McAfee to get it fixed.
